Position Summary:
Incumbent creates visual communications that inform, instruct, and / or influence the way people perceive services, products, or organizations using knowledge of graphic design, animation, communications strategy, marketing, research, environmental design, photography and photographic services, and / or illustration.
Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $74,000.00 Midpoint $108,500.00 Maximum $143,000.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proficiency working in Mac OS X and Windows OS environments with Adobe Creative Suite (including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office 2010 (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Strong knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS, web standards and developing across major browsers and platforms (including experience working with content management systems)
Strong understanding of design fundamentals (color, layout, typography, etc.)
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to consistently check the quality of work and deliverables
Experience developing and managing creative assets
Minimum 5 years proven experience in print and web design and development
Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of user experience and content strategy as it pertains to web design and development
Experience with tablets and mobile devices
Minimum 3 years' proven experience in print and web design and development
Superior creativity and ability to think outside the box
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of photography and video production
Experience with SharePoint
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
