Summary:
The Director of Digital Marketing will oversee the performance, optimization, and continuous improvement of Akron Children's digital presence. The Director manages all aspects of the digital marketing function within our organization, leading the digital marketing team, developing strategies, managing vendor contracts, and aligning digital efforts with business goals. The Director is responsible for raising online brand awareness, engaging customers, increasing website traffic, and contributing to revenue growth through digital channels.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the digital marketing team and implement digital marketing strategies across various channels like SEO, SEM, email and social media.
Manage the daily operations of the health system's website, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, security, and HIPAA compliance.
Lead initiatives for site updates, service expansions, redesigns, and new digital experiences in collaboration with clinical, IT, and marketing teams.
Ensure content accuracy for critical health care information including provider profiles, locations, patient resources, and service line pages.
Ensure the website is user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and compliant with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ADA).
Lead UX research, usability testing, and journey mapping to improve patient navigation and satisfaction.
Develop and implement SEO strategies to drive traffic and improve search visibility for health services, providers, and locations.
Collaborate with MarCom managers and cross-functional teams including digital content, strategists and creative services, to ensure alignment with priorities, optimization of UX and engagement, and achievement of desired business outcomes.
Manage seamless integration and alignment of CRM systems with other digital marketing technology solutions to enhance revenue growth and optimize customer experience.
Develop and implement integrated strategies to maximize customer engagement, retention, and loyalty across various channels (email, direct mail, SMS, etc.).
Create and refine segmented customer journeys to deliver targeted and personalized marketing campaigns that enhance the customer experience and deliver ROI.

Technical Expertise
Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress).
knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
Familiarity with health care regulations as they relate to websites, including HIPAA and ADA compliance.
Experience using web analytics tools, SEO platforms, and CRM systems.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, Web Development, Computer Science or related field is required
Licensure: None
Certification: None
Years of relevant experience: 5 years of website management, digital marketing, or related experience required. Experience in a healthcare environment is ideal
Years of supervisory experience: minimum 3 years of supervisory experience required
