LDA Marketing Assistant (Communications and Marketing Associate 2 - MR06)

The LDA Marketing Assistant will join the grants team led by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing which serves both the INDEED (Intrastate Network to Deliver Equity and Eliminate Disparities) and ROAD MAP (Rural Health and Older ADult Interprofessional Mobile HeAlth Program) initiatives.
INDEED is an initiative that empowers faith and religious leaders and volunteers to care for older adults and caregivers in their congregations and neighborhoods. ROAD MAP is an initiative that assists older adults living in rural Tennessee counties who are at a higher risk for developing chronic diseases, cognitive disorders, and poor health outcomes due to a lack of access to health care, continuity of treatment and resources.
The position will provide marketing support while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Some travel for training and grant activity may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Marketing Support
Experience with creating and posting social media content in a variety of platforms; conduct research to gather data for marketing campaigns and initiatives; assist with organizing and executing marketing campaigns and promotions; provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed; and work with vendors on videos and other special projects.
Graphic Design
Create engaging infographics, flyers, invitations, and other marketing collateral using design software like Adobe Creative Suite; and ensure brand consistency and adherence to style guidelines across all design projects and marketing materials
Website Management
Design and update website content using the content management system (CMS); optimize website images, graphics, and multimedia elements; and assist with basic website maintenance and troubleshooting.
Event Promotion
Assist with promoting events through email campaigns, social media, and other channels; design promotional materials like banners, signage, and programs for events; and work with any event-related vendors as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Basic understanding of web design principles and content management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and a passion for design and marketing
This position is a Limited Duration Appointment (LDA).
A Limited Duration Appointment (LDA) is a form of regular employment for a specific project or for a limited period. An LDA may be established for up to one year with an option to renew the appointment annually for a maximum of three years. Please note that this position may be converted to a permanent position prior to or at the conclusion of three years, funding dependent.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field; and bilingual in Spanish and English.
