Job Summary
In support of the University’s strategic plan, the digital marketing specialist drives digital presence by creating, curating, and disseminating content for Lindenwood websites and digital advertising. This role develops, coordinates, and executes digital marketing strategies and digital advertising campaigns, including paid social media, pay-per-click, digital display, and email marketing.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Conceptualizes, builds, and executes enrollment-focused digital marketing campaigns through competitive research, platform determination, messaging, audience identification, and benchmarking
- Launches, manages, and optimizes social media advertising campaigns to generate interest in Lindenwood programs while maintaining cost-per-lead targets
- Maintains Lindenwood’s brand consistency across digital platforms and uses data to inform leadership and optimize impact and content
- Monitors all University digital marketing platforms, including social media channels, Google Ads, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile, for appropriate content; executes updates as needed
- Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and brainstorms new and creative growth strategies
- Remains current with trends in online marketing; leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports on campaign performance; makes assessments against pre-established goals; and optimizes spending and performance accordingly for future campaigns

Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
- Develops detailed reporting processes that can be easily shared for strategic collaboration and optimization
- Collaborates with external agencies and other vendor partners on campaigns in support of marketing initiatives
- Works with internal teams tasked with key projects, including digital and project management support; branding initiatives for special events; and programmatic initiatives
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop messaging that is representative of program offerings and optimized for marketing materials

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, marketing, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital marketing strategy and execution
- Completion of vaccination status survey and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of hire.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including web marketing, content marketing, marketing automation, search engine marketing, email marketing, user experience, and digital analytics
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that generate high-quality leads
- Demonstrated proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Business, and other digital marketing platforms
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in copywriting and copyediting for marketing and communications
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community and media partners
- Highly organized with ability to multi-task
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use good judgment and think critically
