The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for a wide array of marketing projects and works with other departments within the company, including, but not limited to, Meetings and Corporate Engagement, to keep marketing campaigns on track. The Coordinator collaborates with marketing and production as well as with internal and external clients to ensure execution of projects on time.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Provide overall support of the marketing department by creating, posting and scheduling website, mobile app and email content, including, but not limited to, writing marketing copy, setting up and sending ad hoc and automated emails in Informz, pulling information from and entering information into iMIS including regularly posting to content categories, compiling and adding and maintaining sponsor and exhibitor directory information and logos on websites, and modifying, adding and revising other information on websites through RiSE
Collect, organize, resize and manage all logos, internal and external.
Support marketing social media efforts with scheduling posts and with various paid social media placements as needed
Assist the graphic designer with minor changes to designs, including, but not limited to, resizing logos, banner changes, minor changes to forms, flyers and brochures, and coordinating changes made in InCopy by other staff
Work with marketing and production to coordinate and assist with day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks
Handle updates and traffic flow for marketing, design and production job tickets and tracking to ensure all tracking systems are up to date and jobs are on schedule
Conduct research, analyze customer behavior and prepare surveys and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data, including, but not limited to, event rosters and survey responses in support of the Corporate Engagement department
Prospect potential clients, customers and members to support all lines of business
Coordinate marketing collateral for company representation at events and in-office visitors
Support the marketing department and production with project management, ordering promotional items, administrative work and other duties as required
Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Advertising
1-2 years’ marketing or advertising experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, iMIS and Informz preferred
Strong attention to detail
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of ownership in any task assigned
Creative and strategic thinker
