University of Mobile’s Office of Marketing and Public Relations invites applications for a full time Assistant Vice President for Marketing Special Projects. Reports to: Vice President for Marketing & Public Relations Work Schedule: M-Th 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, rotating Friday schedule, flexible hours as needed Job Description: Position Qualifications (Educational credentials, skills and abilities): - Christian who is an active member in local church.

- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, New Media or related field; master’s degree preferred in video journalism, communication, marketing or related field
- Excellent communication and management skills
- At least ten years of experience in marketing, design, videography, photography, and/or project management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products and Macintosh platform
- Ability to manage and develop appropriate visual marketing materials for a variety of target audiences
- Deadline-oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Position Responsibilities: - Demonstrates the Imago Dei of Christ (Gen 1:26) in all aspects of one’s professional role, personal interactions and community relations.
- Takes lead on special marketing projects – proposing new ideas, developing plans, executing initiatives and training other team members to handle implementation on a regular basis.
- Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs)
- Research products, services and current strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence.
- Keep up-to-date with our audience’s preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns.
- Liaise with communications marketing team to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency.
- Conceptualize the creative approach and help develop and implement creative solutions for publications and cross channel campaigns to meet institutional and marketing objectives.
- Manage creative team of graphic designers, photographers, web designers, etc.
- Manage team of student interns for videography, photography, etc.
- Produce, coordinate and direct media productions, including photography, videography and design, to support marketing initiatives.
- Use data-driven analysis to evaluate effectiveness of current communication strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with digital technologies developments. Research, recommend and deploy new media, technologies and techniques.
- Write content for TorchLight Magazine and other publications, and produce videos as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing and public relations team to achieve institutional priorities.
- Maintain the operational budget of the creative area.
- Other duties as required.
