The University of Louisville Athletic Association is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Team Marketing. The candidate will be an integral part of the Louisville Athletics marketing, sales and game production team. Our mission: to be an integrated marketing communications team that provides the highest quality of service both internally and externally. We are determined to provide a unique experience for our fans while producing the highest level of service to our coaches and student athletes. Louisville is a Division I member of the NCAA and proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The main objective of this position is to advance the brand and overall sport development through unique and strategic marketing strategies. Additionally, the role will lead a staff of Assistant Marketing Managers and oversee all 23 sports marketing plans, executions and measures. Some key metrics of success include increased foot traffic, brand affinity, customer service quality and delivering on team expectations. This candidate must have proven experience in game production, college sports or pro sports marketing sports industry. This post will be expected to have the leadership capability to oversee the management of Football marketing, Men’s Basketball marketing, Baseball marketing while overseeing the success of all 23 sports at Louisville.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director for Team Marketing, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead management and execution of marketing strategies to drive measurable outcomes and increased revenues for all 23 sports
Oversight and management of four assistant marketing managers and up to 6 interns
Capability to develop, implement and execute a comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plan for all revenue generating sports (Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Post-season games). This includes outlining sales strategies, database marketing strategies/tools, with an emphasis on increasing revenue, raising attendance
Strategic planning, support, marketing execution assistance to all team marketing staff and Executive Director of Team Marketing
Management and execution of NCAA special events, post-season sporting events
Other duties as assigned and inclusive of special projects

Bachelor's degree in sport administration, business, marketing, communications or a related field
At least eight (8) years of experience in collegiate or professional sports marketing and game production with a proven experience and results.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrate experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to website, social media, video, mobile, and/or e-mail marketing campaigns
Embody a strong work ethic, have a desire to work in collegiate athletics, and have strong written and oral communication skills
Be able to work an extensive night and weekend work schedule
Have knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations
Master’s degree in integrated marketing communications, sport administration, business administration, marketing, communications or related field is preferred
Demonstrated progressive, results-oriented marketing experience at a NCAA Division I (including FBS football) or professional sports level
