ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed in order of importance: Oversee development of all Sales communications materials to ensure consistency across citywide, self-contained and client services customer touch points. Collaborate with SVP Sales to continue to evolve group messaging and sales branding/positioning.
Oversee/manage content development on MeetLA website, social channels and eCommunications. Regularly review web and other analytics to evaluate site effectiveness, user trends and opportunities for enhancement. Develop SOP’s for Sales as it relates to Social Media protocol.
Manage partnership and sponsorship agreements to ensure fulfillment of contracted promotional opportunities and optimize L.A. Tourism’s exposure. Collaborate with Sales and Client Services Directors to drive leads, bookings and room nights.
Serve as primary point of contact with other departments for Sales communications materials. Work in tandem with Digital, Brand Marketing and PR teams to facilitate consistent and accurate communications. Work with SVP of Sales to continually educate the broader organization regarding Sales initiatives so that all teams understand the Sales organization’s objectives and needs.
Oversee development of tradeshow and customer invitation creative, working with Event Services team to ensure that materials meet specific business needs and position L.A. as the premier meetings destination.
Develop and manage presentation material for Sales Directors and Client Services. Work with Director of Operations on PowerPoint and Digideck platforms to ensure that L.A. Tourism’s presentations are truly cutting edge and clearly differentiated from our competitors, including collaborating with Group Creative Director and in-house creative agency.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with Sales events by working with photographers and film crews to capture creative and engage with key clients for customer insights.
Work with Partnership team to identify new and innovative opportunities to drive incremental funding.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Four-year college degree and 4-6 years of related professional experience required. Prior experience in sales and marketing with a focus on the meetings industry and content marketing preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong knowledge of online communications strategies and tactics, usability standards, branding and latest digital technologies, tools and best practices.
Experience in tracking and analyzing key website and social metrics such as traffic and engagement.
Must have a passion for Los Angeles and be knowledgeable of the destination's culture, attractions, hotels, venues and history.
Knowledge of Social Networks, online communities in the hospitality industry, content management systems, image editing programs and relevant mobile applications.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate primarily to meeting planners along with a variety of audiences in a variety of formats.
Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player.
Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
